Samak rice khichadi
Ingredients:
- I cup samak rice
- Roasted peanuts
- 1 potato(cut in small pieces)
- 1 tsp jeera
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red chilli powder
- 1-2 green chilli
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- Sendha Salt to taste
Method:
- Firstly wash the rice properly.
- Then in a pressure cooker add ghee and then add jeera,green chilli and grated ginger and sauté them for 1-2 min.
- Then add rice, roasted peanuts and potato then add black pepper,red chilli and then add 4 cups of water and then add salt.
- Close the cooker and let it cook for 4-5 whistle.
- Serve hot.
